Looking to DIY some stuffed toy elephant?
I bought some toy stuffing like a million years ago and promised to make some toys for the kids, but never got around to making them.
After so much nagging, we decided to make a stuffed toy elephant this morning. Here’s a tutorial in case you want to try it out.
Tools
Stuffed Toy Pattern (I found the one I used here. Just print it out and cut)
Fabric (I used scraps that were less than half a yard)
Scissors
Needle and thread (you can use a sewing machine)
Steps
Place the pattern on two layers of fabric. Trace and cut out.
Pin fabric together so that it doesn’t slip while sewing.
Sew around the edges of the elephant but leave a little space to put the stuffing through.
Sew up the little space left open. You can attach the ears and eyes that came with the pattern, but my kids didn’t have the patience for that.
This really was very easy to make. I’ll probably be making several more. Lol
